ABC's "The Bachelor" - starts Mon night Jan 4, 7pm. Watch how Lantana resident Jake P. wines and dines 25 desperate bachelorettes, all hoping to find true love with the McDreamy pilot.

Props to Jake being brave enough to go through with this show, given the public scrutiny and armchair-coaching by everybody.

It was very painful, but I got through it, thanks in large part to Tivo.

I set the TiVo to record it... there's a certain entertainment value in trash (I guess that's why it's on the air).

Typically I wouldn't record crappy shows like this but since Jake is from Lantana, I wanted to see if they show or say anything about it.

I also wonder whether people searching for Jake might find this forum.

I haven't watched it yet.

I admit I did watch it. There were a couple of brief shots of his home and the street in Lantana when Jake was leaving in his car. I thought there might be more of Lantana, but not so. All I can say is the guy is an actor and maybe acting is his ultimate goal and that's why he's doing the Bachelor show again. I'm really not into those kinds of shows, and it was a real effort to stay tuned.

We live on Jake's street... the slow drive bys of curious Bachelor fans / stalkers are picking up, and getting strange. One example: while out for a walk we saw a random "paparazzi" car pull in his driveway, stop for who-knows-why, and then laid rubber on the driveway.

Interesting about the drive-bys. Glad he doesn't live on my street.

Do you know if Jake has stained his fence yet? From the first episode, it appeared that he needed to.

Anyway, I quit watching it after the first episode.
