Hi All,
Curious, anyone yet to try this Rouge Bistro place on FM2499? Quite the French cuisine...
Wife wants to try it, so looking for reviews...
Thanks

We went there last night and had a wonderful dinner. The atmosphere, food and service were awesome! I am addicted to the Rouge Chips appetizer!

We had our rehearsal dinner there a few weeks ago and it was fantastic. The food, staff, and the atmosphere is perfect. Very nice place to have a great dinner and get away from the chain restaurants.

What? No Applebees instead? A French Restaurant in the 'burbs? Unheard of!!

The menu looks great. I will need to try it. Although, I looked at the map and cant visualize where the heck that place is.

After the wine tasting at Wine Styles on Thursday night, my girlfriends and I headed over to Rouge. We ended up having appetizer (baked brie), salad (orange vanilla lobster) and dessert (bread pudding and the s'mores torte). It was all delicious and the wait staff was wonderful.

Wife and I just recently tried Rouge.

The decoration and decor was really great. It is what I would expect and see in a downtown/uptown Dallas restaurant.

The menu looked really good although it was a little less "french" than expected. Not that I am complaining. About 60% of traditional french food, I do not care for. The other 40% I love. For example, all the variations of foie gras that other french resturants can serve, I wont touch with a ten foot pole.

The food we got was good, but nothing off the charts. Combine that with the cost of the dinner, we will go again but split a meal & appetizer and save the money for the extensive wine list they have.

Or, since their appetizer menu, looked really good, we considered the idea of just sitting up at the bar, ordering appetizers and wine instead.

Overall, I would recommend it and try it. At least to keep it open. The dallas burbs area, especially our area, is in dire need for good, different, restaurants. It bothers me to see Applebees and Chilis going strong while good individual owned places go under.

wife and I went last night and all we can say is that it is one of the nicest and most pleasant experiences we ever had in DFW area.
those chips are indeed addicting! she had peppercorn crusted fillet and I had veal medallions. both we A+. we were full enough and didn't have dessert, so no grade there. all in all-wow!

We tried Rouge Bistro last week. Nice, quiet, no kids screaming and throwing food around. There were a couple of kids, but very well behaved.

The price was about right ($120 for two people) for what you get. To get close to this elsewhere, you have to drive much closer to downtown Dallas. This is a good once a month or so place when you're not interested in driving to McKinney Ave.

The music wasn't bad either.

I had lunch there about a month ago. There weren't very many people there. I thought it was very good and would definitely go back.
