I'm in with the dance hall. There are no good local places to go "skoot a boot", while popping the top on a Lone Star Longneck.

Market Place sounds high fallutin'. Is the dress code business casual, collard shirts, shoes?

Funny how many corrupt town councils there are in our neck of the woods....

It will be very interesting to see how traffic concerns for Market Street are addressed. The Kroger expansion was torpedoed pure and simple because Market street would have refused to come if it was approved. A little quid pro quo, and I hope Flower Mound citizens see through this charade.

I prefer Market Street over Whole Foods anytime. Their prices are better and their selection is far better. I like the specialty grocery stores but so many don't offer enough regular foods, Market Street has more regular food so it's a bit easier to shop for regular groceries there. I like Sprouts but I tend to only shop their sales. Kroger's and Tom Thumb's prices have gone sky high recently so I don't find that they can compete much and I don't shop there unless I have to. Target is great but the selection is limited and Walmart also has its limitations.
I would have loved a regular HEB over any other choices.

I agree!!!!! I wish they would have kept plans for the location where the new Tom Thumb is going in on 1171 and Bruton Orand now. I was looking forward to it. I don't give a rats behind about Tom Thumb, there's already 2-3 others close by if I wanted to start shopping there again.

Anyone knows which of Kroger, Tom Thumb and Market Street are more pro-life than the other?

It seems certain members of the Town Council made the choice for them. They choose to abort Kroger in order to give Market Street new life and let Tom Thumb grow. A whole different kind of planned parenthood......

Can't believe I actually replied to this one. :D

A record plat and site plan for River Walk Market was unanimously approved at the July 23 Planning & Zoning meeting. River Walk Market is a retail center anchored by a Market Street grocery store generally located at the northeast corner of 1171/Cross Timbers Road and 2499/Long Prairie Road. The site plan is scheduled to be considered by Town Council at the August 20 meeting.

You mean northeast corner right?

Does anybody know if Market Street is planning a Boar's Head meat and cheese deli counter?
