Yep, that's what this thread is about. :D

Back about 3 posts Admin said he heard it'd be open by months end. Seems awful quick, but then again, they've done this a time or 2.

It will be interesting to see if 24/7 will last. We drove by there last night at around 11:30 and no customers were there. Granted, it just opened, so time will tell.

24 hour is their business model. I think only if a local ordinance restricts hours will they cut them back if everyone (franchisee and 7-Eleven) agrees to it. Otherwise someone gets paid to sleep behind the counter if the coffee is fresh, Slurpee machines are full and floors are clean.

Not all of them are 24 hours, depends on location. The name 7-Eleven came from originally being open at 7:00 am and closing at 11:00 pm.

People probably dont even know its open yet. I didnt and I drive by there almost everyday. Its a niche that if done right will be successful. I am very happy to know if I need milk, diapers, etc at midnight, there is a place very close.

Is it a more "upscale" prototype store? Or the standard 7-Eleven just with no gas?

They were also the first to go 24 hours (40-50 years ago) and like the 7a to 11p hours that were unprecedented 80-90 years ago, it may have changed in recent years, especially being owned by a a Japanese company for near 10 years now. I think it would make sense to have changed it to being driven by business need, and may have, but I thought they were still using a the opened 24 hours model as a standard (with the above exception)

My 4 favorite items. :D But I don't think they sell bullets, so I still have to go to Wal mart.

Stopped in this evening to check it out. Guy behind the counter said it has been dead, but was hopeful that lantana people would learn that 7-11 is open. He said "there is a website in Lantana that his boss needs to get listed on". Hahaha. By the way, the Slurpee machine is broken :(

We've gone twice this week, after work-ish, as a report card "reward" for the kids. It smells like an ashtray when you walk in, which is a little gross.

Anyway, there have been a handful of people in each time we've been.
It doesn't matter if I've had my coffee or not.
