They haven't posted up what will be along the never ending aisles yet. Why not wait till it's built and take spin thru it. since I won't shop there, irrelevant to me, what they sell. Don't understand the HOOPLAH. Kinda like in and outty burger. Sell me some food, keep the registers clear and move on.I don't need or understand eclectic grocery stores. They are for chumps.

I'd wonder if Boars Head would do that since they already have Kroger. Tom Thumb had it several years ago then Kroger got it. I think it was after one of the sales of Tom Thumb.

Some things are way over priced, on the other hand there are some items that I have to go to sprouts to find or stores like that because i CHOOSE to eat healthy. Lots of foods are packed with sodium and fat, and are nutritionally bankrupt. Living healthy is a choice, a visiable one now that we we have been eating this way for 6 mos or so now. Also reflected in our blood test results, cholesterol etc. On the other hand is also visible in those who choose not to eat healthy.
Thankfully Walmart, specifically the HV wm, carries many things that others don't. Small choices everyone can make in things you use everyday that make a huge difference in your health.

I thought that it was a huge mistake when Tom Thumb let the Boar's Head contract go. I never thought that it could have been the sale of Tom Thumb to the Safeway Corporation, but it makes sense. We probably spend $30 to $40 a week at the deli counter, because as Love Lantana pointed out, we also try to eat healthy and Boar's Head is not loaded with bad fillers, etc. For us, it only makes sense logistically to go to Kroger today, but I think that Kroger is going to be way too big and hectic after their expansion and would rather go to a smaller grocery store such as what Market Street plans on building here. Wasn't sure if Boar's Head had something contractually as far as a "distance or exclusivity rule" as to whom can sell their products.

I think by the time Kroger's expansion is done, the new Tom Thumb will have been open for a while and with that, I think some of the Kroger traffic will shift over to Tom Thumb. At least people in the Wellington and Bridlewood area and west, would be able to stay out of the 1171 and 2499 traffic.

I guess we'll see....

The new FM store will feature the chain's first wine and beer bar and the biggest selection of natural and organic foods of any of their stores, per FM Town Manager Jimmy Stathatos.
