Dear Charlie Horse 6...

Postby Tiff » Tue Jul 12, 2011 3:23 pm

To the person who picked up their child at VBS today, driving the BLACK KIA with license plate starting with CH6. The black Kia that did not even have the windows cracked and was parked in the sun. The person with the heavily furred just under medium sized, curly white dog.

LEAVE YOUR DOG AT HOME.

It has regularly been topping 100 on a daily basis and there is NO reason to bring a dog just to leave it in a car. It does not matter HOW long the dog is in the car, this is wrong and you are being cruel to your dog. If you love that dog, you need to LEAVE IT AT HOME.

This also goes for the idiot who was driving down the road with two HUGE golden retriever/lab mixes in a small car where one of those said dogs was standing in the back seat with his head, neck and chest hanging out the window which was fully down.

AND the person who is driving out there with the yapping chihuahua sitting in their lap.

If they are NOT going to the vet and are NOT being properly restrained, LEAVE THEM AT HOME. They'll be far happier in an air conditioned apartment than in a hot car or in a position where they can cause a wreck.

You wouldn't leave a child in a hot car, would you? (Especially you who treat your dog as a child and then LEAVE IT IN A CAR to BAKE.)

Oh good grief, there are few things that make me angrier than someone being cruel to someone or something that can't stop them.

I'm embarrassed to be a fellow Kia owner.

I'm sure they all got your message.

BTW, you see a dog left in a hot car like that, call the police. The dog will be taken care of as will the owner.

My white lab rides on the top of the cab or the tool box of my F-150 (only locally), but pretty cool. Has only fallen off once and now grips a little tighter. She gets into the pickup bed at about 50 MPH(wind shear maybe). I try to make her stop, but that's where she likes to ride, and I do tell her labs are a dime a dozen, but she's a thrill seeker. Go figga.
