Found dog

Looks like a Russell terrier mix. Found dodging cars on FM2499, between Orchid Hill and The HC bridge, at rush hour on Friday evening. No collar or tags, vertically challenged, very friendly, house trained, sits on laps well, wasn't very hungry, didn't disappear overnight, teeth look good, stubby claws so he has been running on pavement for a while. I'll call the local pounds on Monday, but he stays if no one claims him, or I don't see a "lost" sign. 6 dogs ain't near enough. If my wife can have 14 cats, I can have six dogs (all but one are strays), but watch where you step.

It's not by chance a white dog is it? There are signs up on both ends of Rolling Acres where some one posted they lost their small white dog that goes by the name of "Snowflake". If it seems like a match I'll PM you the phone number on the signs.

I don't think that was it. This dog was mostly brown. If you are talking about the white Maltese, I have seen the signs, but not the dog. This dog slept on my couch Friday and Saturday night, and after feeding it this morning he disappeared. Owner probably nabbed him. After sleeping inside and eating here for 2 days, few strays would up and leave, a good thing, without saying goodbye, or leaving a note.
