Dixon Lane will be widened to a four-lane concrete road from FM 2499 east to Crestside Drive during the next 12 months.

Dixon Lane Temporary Closure
Dixon Lane between FM 2499 and Windridge Lane will be closed to through traffic beginning at 10 a.m., April 18 until 6 a.m., April 19, to allow for the installation of a large box culvert. Residents living from Windridge Lane east must access off of Morriss Road. During the closure, traffic between FM 2499 and Morriss Road will be detoured via FM 407.

FM is scheduled to open Dixon Lane this month, five months ahead of schedule.

And with a sea of concrete replacing a cool tunnel of trees. I've even heard folks that haven't lived here very long complain about losing that cool road; or should I say, another cool road. A faster way to Marcus from the west, I suppose will be a trade off.
