Fatality Accident on Hwy 377

The Flower Mound Police Department responded to a two-car fatality accident at approximately 9:46 p.m. on September 9, 2009 in the 5200 block of U.S. Highway 377.

The accident involved a black 1999 Ford Mustang traveling southbound and a black 2006 Mitsubishi Montero traveling northbound. The preliminary investigation indicates that the vehicles collided in a head-on collision when the driver of the Mustang attempted to pass in a “no passing” zone.

The female driver of the Mustang, identified as 18-year-old Lauren Saludares of Keller, Texas, did not survive the collision. The driver of the Mitsubishi was transported to Harris Methodist Hospital by Careflight Air Ambulance. The accident is currently under investigation.
