Mayor Donnelly will not seek reelection

Residents of Double Oak:

I want to inform you that I will not be seeking reelection this May.

I am very grateful to the citizens of Double Oak who have allowed me to serve on our Town Council, and for the last two years as Mayor. It has been an honor and privilege to represent the town and residents. My thanks to all town employees and those who have volunteered their time serving on council, boards and commissions and are active in volunteer service organizations within the town.

I have appreciated working with the elected officials and staff of neighboring communities, our two public school districts, Commissioner Andy Eads’ Office and Denton County Officials, as well as elected officials on the state and federal levels.

There are so many people I wish to thank but there just is not enough space. I do thank my wife, Treva, and our daughter, Elizabeth, for their loving support.

Thank you Double Oak citizens for your support and God bless our wonderful town.
