Woods of Chinn Chapel (Terracina)

Postby garyb66 » Tue May 17, 2011 7:38 am

Anyone know what the status is of the development north of the soccer fields which I believe is called the Wood of Chinn Chapel or possibly Terragina? I figured they'd start clearing it out by now to start the development but nothing as of yet has happened. I found plans on the FM site which shows 0.3 to 0.5 acre lots but no development time frame.

Just trying to figure out when I can expect all the critters to start vacating and taking up residence in my back yard :)

In December the Council approved the request for a development plan to develop Terracina (what a horrible name) but the developers have to pay a park development fee of $200K. I'm not sure that's been done yet.

I think the development is going to be done by the Toll Brothers.

I wish they would wait until the widening of 407 is done.

Flower Mound is now clearing land for the new residential development. Phase I will have 49 lots and a retention/detention pond. Once all phases are complete there will be a total of 138 lots, all being 15,000 sq. ft. or larger. Toll Brothers is the builder.

1/3 acre lots. Looks like Ms. Northern has thrown "smart growth" out the back door. What's her cut?

Hey, cut her some slack. She's only doing what she's told.

But she has such a winning smile!

Looks like it may be in your backyard. FM providing any kind of buffer? CC could have demanded it, unless cowering to the "Great Filidoro " is involved. Northern doesn't run that show.

Last night FM Town Council approved an amended permit for the Terracina development. The number of residential lots was increased from 138 to 167 lots, replacing what was to be a gas pad site in the middle of the subdivision after the gas lease on the property expired in Feb. of this year. As some may remember, there was a referendum to the voters for a park land swap deal which would have removed the soccer complex so that setback requirements would not impede a gas drilling site. The ballot measure was defeated.

Terragina?

Hmm. Freud would have a field-day with that one.

No, Miss K. deserves better than that. In fact, I reckon she deserves better than you.

Just calling it like I see it. She has every right to kick your butt to the curb, Pirate boy. Sorry - nothing personal - just the facts as I see 'em.

Now go buy that woman a dozen roses tomorrow. She deserves 'em, and she might just keep your sorry butt if you do.
