Looks like " little miss Bonny, has a bee in her bonnet". Nobody can believe that Landrum didn't have a key to city hall. If Bonny and her minions have nothing to hide, open it up, and stop hiding. Looks like Argyle has been a "beehive" of tainted honey for quite some time. And the clock ticks. Where's Huntsville? Ain't that far.

Amen! Bonny wouldn't know the truth if it hit her up side the head. This whole thing is very smelly.

That does it! Argyle politics is the next reality show! The show will open with Mayor Matt putting a secretary in a strangle hold telling her he wants coffee and not yesterday. He'll have a handful of residents as his henchmen following him around kicking old ladies as they're given the nod to do so, maybe stepping on puppies too. He'll construct a 4000 sq ft elaborate office suite where the cameras placed all over town give him real time access to who's rolling across the city limit line so he can radio his henchmen to stop them and make sure they don't have anything cool that he wants. He can keep tabs on everyone, everywhere. Hands on baby!!

I think Pawn Stars and American Pickers will be bumped off the air to make room for this new hit. :D

Video of the meeting here.

When you jump head first, you're gonna be over your head with your dancing shoes wiggling in the air.

Wow.

The new Mayor's issues were already known when the web page appeared

But to be fair and balanced, if that's what they intended (NOT) they didn't mention any of it. And in the context of the site of being in the interest of the town, it's very relevant.

And verifiable? If you start with Story A about Jack and Jill then drill down on what's supposed to "verify" Story A, and you find story E about Jack and Jill, it's not verifying Story A. But people that won't look for themselves see Jack and Jill, and calls it good believing whatever they're told. It works on any side of any issue.

Again, I don't have a dog in the hunt in any way shape or form. I've looked at property out there, but haven't even come close to becoming a property owner (much like Mayor Matt :-) ) so there's no "side" for me to be on. But websites set up to mislead people who won't stop and look for themselves past the rhetoric and twist facts for their own agenda is interesting to see. You know there has to be an agenda; there are people behind the scenes pulling the strings as I'm sure there are behind Mayor Matt, and it's fun to try to find out what the real deal is. :D

I don't think everything is what meets the eye; all the whoopla is a smoke screen for someone's agenda. I think the "Founding families" angle is being played (over and over) by 1 or a few long time Agyle residents. After seeing the meeting, I don't think Mayor Matt would have thrown himself under the bus like he has been. He doens't understand the fundamentals of the town itself which is very odd for someone that ran for Mayor and has lived there for so long. Being part of a long time Argyle family, unemployed and I'm guessing supported by family and not owning any property in Argyle (including which ever house he actually lives in since his address used, including for his arrest and court record doesn't appear to be where he lives) he may have been an easy and obvious front man for the "agenda".

The mystery and fun continue. Oh, and the stirring of the pot.
