Heritage Health Solutions Academic Excellence Foundation Hosts Mother’s Day Tea In Support of Local Students

Proceeds from Mother’s Day Tea and silent auction to raise money for student-awarded scholarship

(FLOWER MOUND) – Heritage Health Solutions Academic Excellence Foundation will host Mother’s Day Tea on Saturday, May 12 at 10 a.m. to raise money for a student-awarded scholarship. Proceeds from the day’s activities and ticket sales will go toward a college scholarship for a 7th to 11th grade student in the Lewisville Independent School District. The winner of this year’s annual academic scholarship will be in attendance and recognized at the Mother’s Day Tea.

The event will take place at Celebrations Event Center in Highland Village. Additional activities during the Mother’s Day Tea include a silent auction, style show, hat contest and brunch, as well as a guest speaker. Attendees can also submit a photo of their mother to recognize her in the event slideshow.

Heritage Health Solutions Academic Excellence Foundation recognizes the importance of grooming today’s students into tomorrow’s leaders. Last year, Heritage Health Solutions Academic Excellence Foundation awarded a $2,000 academic scholarship to Julie Baton, an 8th grader at Shadow Ridge Middle School. The funds are currently in an escrow account and will be transferred directly to the university or vocational school of Julie’s choice when she graduates from high school.

“The students we consider for this scholarship maintain a 3.75 or above grade point average in combined academic subjects, and participate in community, faith and humanitarian activities,” says Karla Hook, executive director of Heritage Health Solutions Academic Excellence Foundation.

For individuals and businesses interested in attending the event, a variety of sponsorships are available for purchase. Donations to the Heritage Health Solutions Academic Excellence Foundation can be made through purchase of sponsorship packages, ticket sales and silent auction items.

To become a sponsor of Mother’s Day Tea, donate an item to the silent auction, or for more information, please contact Karla Hook at khook@heritagehealthsolutions.com.
