Bulk trash

I just replace my entire garage door opener, and am now stuck with the previous mechanism. It was a chain drive, and the rail is one solid, long piece. I don't have the tools to break it apart, so I am going to have to wait for a bulk trash pickup day. Does anyone know when the next day might be? I could only find that it occurred twice yearly, but not when. Or any other solutions?

I believe WM will take bulk trash every Friday, actually.
It doesn't matter if I've had my coffee or not.
