Williams’ eldest son, Zack, now 17, enjoys a healthy lifestyle. He is a junior at Marcus High School and a violinist for the school’s orchestra. In the first grade, Zack joined Cub Scouts as a Tiger cub. To this very day, Zack remains heavily involved in Boy Scouts. It was through that organization that he has found a way to pay it forward. As a Life Scout in Boy Scout Troop 123, chartered by Trietsch Memorial United Methodist Church, Zack was looking for an Eagle Scout project. The project is also a requirement for a Boy Scout to achieve the lofty rank of Eagle Scout, a feat accomplished by only 4 percent of all Scouts. Those interested in giving the “gift of life” can schedule an appointment be calling Linda Duck at 972-906-0966. For additional information, visit “Zack Williams Eagle Scout Blood Drive” on Facebook. Potential donors must be 17 years of age or older (or 16 with parental consent) to participate. Entertainment and refreshments will be provided. Blood. It's a vital component to our body. It is often overlooked until we're in desperate need of it, clinging to the precious liquid and therefore to life. Every two seconds someone in America needs blood. Please don't forget to share your good health and gift of life to others by helping Zack Williams with his Eagle Project blood drive or at any of the Carter BloodCare centers in the area.
