Argyle JV girls win tourney PDF Print E-mail

The Argyle JV Girls basketball team won the Bowie tournament Nov. 17-20 to start Thanksgiving break off right.

The Lady Eagles outscored their opponents 175 to 86, beating Bridgeport 49-17. 

Later that same day Argyle beat the Lady Hawks of Iowa Park 54-19. 

On Saturday the Lady Eagles took care of Vernon in the semi-final game 36-21. 

Argyle then faced off against Alvord Bulldogs for the second time this year.  The Lady Bulldogs had handed Argyle JV their only loss of the season.  But Saturday in Bowie the Lady Eagles won the championship through defeating Alvord.  

The JV Girls carved up Melissa over Thanksgiving break on Nov. 22 beating them 46-17. 

The Lady Eagles held Melissa to just 5 points in the 2nd half.  Corrie Liggett led all scores for the Eagles with 10 points.  Madison Hardy had 8 points, Amberlyn Moore and Bailey Eschle both had 6, Gabby McCloud had 5 points, and both Payton Pels and Claire Betzhold scored 4 points.
