Argyle-based Ranch Hand Rescue held a fundraiser Saturday night at Billy Bob's Texas in Ft. Worth featuring Emmy-winning actress Doris Roberts.

The event raised money to cover operating costs which have been strained due to the excessive amounts of critical care horses taken in by the non-profit farm animal rescue group.

In addition, Ranch Hand Rescue needs to purchase a custom trailer for Midnite, a neglected miniature horse who found a new life and a new prosthetic leg.  Read more about Midnite here.
