The Guyer football team trailed 14-10 on Saturday night, but ended up losing 48-24 to Mansfield in the area round playoff game at Cowboys Stadium.

Mansfield jumped out to a 14-0 lead to start the game, but Sebastian Williams answered with a 95-yard run to cut the lead to seven. Williams rushed for 109 yards and a touchdown and 127 yards receiving and two touchdowns in the game.

Josh King tacked on a 38-yard field goal as time expired, and Mansfield led by four at the break.

The Tigers scored 21 unanswered points, before Williams caught a 68-yard touchdown pass from Jerrod Heard.

Heard and Williams hooked up once more on a 25-yard touchdown pass late in the fourth quarter.

Guyer (8-4, 5-2) finished the season as bi-district champions.
