An early afternoon fire on Oct. 28 in the historic Meadows Building on Hwy 377 in Argyle caused some tense moments and interrupted several businesses. Officials said the blaze, which was quickly contained to the attic with the help of a citizen, started in the building's HVAC system. No major damage or injuries were reported.
