Lewisville ISD recently received the stat’s highest fiscal accountability rating.

LISD got an “A” rating for “Superior Achievement” under Texas’ School FIRST (Financial Accountability Rating System of Texas). The Superior Achievement rating is the state’s highest, which a district news release says demonstrates the quality of LISD’s financial management and reporting.

“We are proud to earn an ‘A’ rating again,” said LISD Chief Financial Officer Mike Ball. “This rating shows how our schools are accountable not only for student learning, but also for being great stewards with taxpayer dollars.”

The district news release says that “resource stewardship is one of Lewisville ISD’s Four Cornerstones, the principles upon which the district builds its approach to education, providing limitless opportunities for all students to thrive in a future they create.”
