Trent Owens named to Forbes ‘Top Next Generation Wealth Advisors’ list

Trenton B. Owens

Merrill Lynch announced Monday that Financial Advisor Trenton B. Owens has been recognized on Forbes’ 2018 “America’s Top Next-Generation Wealth Advisors” list, published on July 25. In all, 247 Merrill Lynch advisors are included on this year’s list, the most of any firm.

“We believe Trenton exemplifies what it means to be a leader in the wealth management space,” said Alan Fonner, Market Executive. “He demonstrates a commitment to helping clients achieve their most important life goals. We are proud to congratulate Trenton on being named to this list.”

Advisors considered for this ranking were born in 1980 or later with a minimum of four years’ relevant experience, according to a Merrill Lynch news release. These advisors have built their own practices and lead their teams; joined teams and are viewed as future leadership; or a combination of both. The ranking algorithm is based on qualitative measures, such as telephone and in-person interviews, client retention, industry experience, credentials, review of compliance records, firm nominations, and quantitative criteria, such as assets under management and revenue generated for their firms. Investment performance is not a criteria because client objectives and risk tolerances vary, and advisors rarely have audited performance reports. Rankings are based on the opinions of SHOOK Research, LLC and not representative nor indicative of any one client’s experience, future performance, or investment outcome. Neither Forbes nor SHOOK Research receives compensation in exchange for placement on the ranking.

Owens lives in North Texas has been a part of Merrill Lynch’s Southlake office since 2012.
