From the time she watched her grandfather and father launch a non-profit school and support childhood education, Ana Martinez wanted to follow her family’s tradition. She’s now able to achieve her passion at the new Flower Mound location of Huntington Learning Center.

Specializing in providing supplemental education for students from grades K-12, Huntington features three prime services – personalized tutoring programs, preparation for standardized test such as the SAT or ACT and subject tutoring in math, science, reading and writing.

“We offer a wide range of services without sacrificing the student’s learning by teaching to a group. Our programs are all tailored to the specific needs of our students,” said Martinez. “We have a lot of support and professionalism from Huntington. It’s a system with over 40 years of experience and over 300 centers around the country.”

Founded by Dr. Raymond and Eileen Huntington in 1977, Huntington’s mission is to give each student the best possible education. It begins with a comprehensive academic evaluation focused on identifying learning gaps.

“We go back and teach the skills the student missed along the way,” she said. “There’s no one-size-fits-all program. It’s all individualized programs customized to the specific needs of each of our students.”

Martinez wants the best for her students so she ensures her certified teachers are properly trained on Huntington’s learning method prior to engaging with her growing clientele.

“Huntington’s values and commitment in making a difference in education is close to my heart,” she said. “We went with Huntington because they’ve been around for a very long time and they have helped thousands of students achieve their dreams. They have it down to a science on how to help students.”

Martinez and her family – husband Bernardo and their daughter and son named after them – celebrated her Huntington Learning Center’s grand opening on May 8th with an open house following a ribbon cutting with the Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce.

“There are a lot of good families who share our values,” she said. “We’re excited to be serving this community.”
