The town of Flower Mound said in a news release Thursday that construction on FM 2499 will cause lane closures and delays during the day Friday.

From 9 a.m. to about noon, construction crews will close one northbound lane at the Gerault flyover, according to the news release. After that, the southbound lanes in the same area will be reduced to one lane until about 3 p.m.

During that time, crews will be moving heavy equipment, concrete barricades and striping lanes, the news release said. Workers may also need to stop traffic for short periods of time while heavy equipment is being moved.

“Please expect delays during this time,” the news release said. “Thank you, in advance, for your patience.”

I have a boycott on anything in Grapevine because of what they have done to us. 1st the mall for years, then after spending $50 million to by pass those lights they do the apartments and light to screw us again! Screw Grapevine! No tax money from me and hopefully a lot of other people that realize that.

My god! The nerve of a city building up retail and apartments along a corridor that Flower Mound wants to use!
If you are referring to Camden Riverwalk, those apartments have been there since 2006. Why should the people living there get screwed because FM commuters want to get to work faster? With people speeding 70mph through that stretch, having just a turn lane would be suicide.
