Flower Mound Rotary Fest to feature Neon 5K, live music and more

The sixth annual Flower Mound Rotary Fest is set for this Saturday evening and will feature live music, food trucks and the Neon Night 5K.

The Flower Mound Rotary, and presenting sponsor Texas Health Presbyterian, are hosting the Neon Night 5K & Festival, starting at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Doubletree Ranch Park, 310 Highland Village Road.

Live music by Big City Outlaws — a Texas country/rock band — starts at 5:30 p.m., and the event will also have a Kids Zone, a new health fair and food trucks.

The event is highlighted by the Neon Night Run, a 5K in which participants light up the streets of Flower Mound and Highland Village. The 5K starts at 7:30 p.m., and runners are given a glow necklace, T-shirt and reflectors, and they’re encouraged to wear anything else that blinks, shines or glows.

There will be limited parking available on site. Festival-goers should plan on parking at Marcus High School and catching one of the provided shuttles.
