Town of Flower Mound joins Nextdoor

The Town of Flower Mound has joined Nextdoor, the private social networking website and mobile app designed for specific neighborhoods.

Many neighborhoods in Flower Mound already have established pages on the free website, according to a town news release, and now town staff can communicate to residents town-wide or those in individual neighborhoods about a variety of topics including emergency alerts, street closures, mosquito spraying events and more.

Flower Mound is joining more than 2,000 public agencies on Nextdoor, and the town will use it to post messages, polls, and urgent alerts, in addition to gathering feedback from residents.

If you want to join Nextdoor, check if your neighborhood already has an established page by entering your address at nextdoor.com. Once part of Nextdoor, you’ll see posts from your neighbors and from the town of Flower Mound.
