Update: Flower Mound police find runaway girl, 12

Amy Lee Hernandez ran away from her Flower Mound home on Tuesday, according to police.

Update: Amy Lee Hernandez has been found in Carrollton and being returned to her family Friday morning, according to police.

Original story on Thursday: The Flower Mound Police Department are seeking help finding a runaway 12-year-old girl, according to a police news release sent on Thursday.

After an argument with her parents, Amy Lee Hernandez left her home in the 4300 block of Southampton Court through her bedroom window on Tuesday, according to the news release. Amy is 4’8″ tall, weighs about 90 pounds, has brown shoulder-length hair and hazel eyes, and she was last seen wearing a dark T-shirt, blue jeans and dark green high top sneakers.

Amy may be trying to go to Carrollton, where she has friends, or California, where she has family, or New York, where she has a friend. She did not have money, credit cards or a phone when she ran away, according to the news release.
