Neighborhood Credit Union celebrates opening in Highland Village

Almost exactly six months after breaking ground on its first Denton County location, Neighborhood Credit Union welcomed dozens of local community and business leaders from Highland Village, Flower Mound, and Lewisville to the ribbon cutting and grand opening of its new Highland Village location on April 20.

“We are so happy to be in Highland Village,” said Chet Kimmell, president and CEO of Neighborhood Credit Union. “Neighborhood Credit Union has received a very warm welcome from this community and we look forward to providing friendly and professional financial services to the families of Highland Village, Lewisville and Flower Mound.”

Lewisville Chamber of Commerce President Ray Hernandez, served as master of ceremonies and welcomed several local elected officials, including Highland Village Mayor Charlotte Wilcox who delivered remarks and an aide to State Sen. Jane Nelson who presented an official proclamation.

Following the ribbon cutting, Neighborhood Credit Union joined the Lewisville Chamber to host “Chamber Night Out,” along with members of the Flower Mound Chamber and Highland Village Business Association.

Neighborhood Credit Union is located at the northeast corner of FM 407 and Barnett Boulevard, next to Whataburger.

Kimmell noted that the new location will make it more convenient for current members and others who live, work or worship in Denton County to enjoy the benefits of Neighborhood Credit Union membership, including Prize Savings Accounts that reward members for saving their money, free Kasasa Cash Checking accounts that offer generous interest rates, affordable and Flexible Auto Loans and credit cards, and many other financial products and services.
