FMHS choirs to bring Christmas spirit to Lakeside

Plan to bring your blanket or portable chairs to the plaza in Lakeside DFW in south Flower Mound Friday night, 7-9 p.m., to enjoy Christmas carols performed by pop a cappella choirs from Flower Mound High School.

The weather Friday night is expected to be clear and unseasonably warm (temperatures in the sixties) ahead of a cold front that will blow through Saturday evening.

Both the women’s a cappella ensemble, “C’est la Vie,” and the men’s a cappella group, “Vocal/Ease,” will perform individually and together.

Both groups brings accomplished sophisticated musicality to the art of singing Christmas carols.

When not singing Christmas carols, C’est la Vie explores a variety of musical genres – contemporary a cappella, jazz, and barbershop.

C’est la Vie has performed with a number of guest artists, including UNT Jazz Studies Professors Mike Steinel (trumpet) and Stefan Karlsson (piano).

“Vocal/ease” sings jazz, contemporary a cappella, and barbershop music, along with any other style they like.

Both groups participate in festivals and contests throughout the year.

The Lakeside Music Series is held at The Shops at Lakeside, 2417 Lakeside Parkway.
