Foodie Friday: Pasta, Pizza & More at Parma in Lewisville

What we’ve found over the last three years of doing Foodie Friday is that even though many of us on our team have lived here in Flower Mound for several years (some of us several decades), there are still lots of restaurants in the area we’ve never explored!

One of the restaurants we’ve been missing out on is Parma Pasta & Pizza located off of FM 3040. I’ve driven by this restaurant several times over the years, and now I’m kicking myself that I hadn’t tried it sooner!

Parma offers a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere which makes it the perfect place to stop in and enjoy one of their great lunch specials, or a great place to enjoy a nice evening out.

And their food is delicious! They offer classic New York Italian favorites like lasagna, chicken parmigiana, and New York-style pizza. And they also have a couple unique dishes of their own.

Owners Adrian and Selen Doko hail from New Jersey, so they know all about how to prepare delicious and authentic New York Italian dishes.

So, here’s everything we ate while we were there for lunch this week.

Our incredible waiter picked a couple of appetizers for us to try including their corn-meal crusted calamari and their baby spinach & artichokes. The calamari was truthfully the best calamari I’ve ever had. The breading was perfect and their marinara has just a little bit of heat to it. And the baby spinach & artichoke dip was almost like a tomato soup with chunks of artichoke hearts and was perfect when soaked up with some of their toasted crostini.

And because there were a lot of us at lunch this week, we got to sample several of their entrees!

We absolutely had to try their signature Chicken Murphy which comes served with onions, peppers, mushrooms and jalapenos (yes, jalapenos!) in a pink vodka cream. It was delicious, but definitely spicy! So, if you don’t like heat, I might recommend one of the other entrees below.

We also obviously had to try one of their New-York style pizzas with the signature New York thin crust. The crust was absolute perfection and came topped with extremely fresh ingredients. We also tried their Veggie Stromboli which had that same perfect crust and came stuffed with spinach, mushrooms, onions, peppers, olives and mozzarella.

And then we stuck with some true Italian classics like their chicken parmigiana, lasagna and chicken piccata.

For dessert, our waiter again picked a couple of their most popular items to serve us which included their tiramisu and chocolate tartufo. If you’re a fan of coffee-flavored desserts, you will love these! We’ve sampled lots of tiramisu desserts over the years, and this one was definitely one of the best.
