Local artists now have the opportunity to be recognized as Highland Village’s Artist of the Month and display their artwork in the rotunda of the Highland Village Municipal Complex.

“The purpose of the Artist of the Month program is to expose an artist’s work to the public and perhaps bring that artist recognition,” said Public Art Advisory Board staff liaison Andra Foreman.

To be considered for the program, local artists can submit examples of their artwork to Foreman at [email protected]. The Highland Village Public Art Advisory Board and City Staff will review the artwork and select the Artist of the Month.

The Public Art Advisory Board was established by the Highland Village City Council to provide recommendations on the selection and placement of public art and promote general community awareness and participation in public art programs.

The Board, in conjunction with The Shops at Highland Village and the City of Highland Village, holds an annual Art Festival the first Saturday in May.
