Lane, ramp closures scheduled for I-35E

As crews shift southbound traffic between Business 121 and FM 3040/Round Grove Road to the outside lanes, the following closures will be in place Thursday, June 23, through Saturday, June 25.  Motorists should expect delays while this work is being performed.

Mainlanes

  • Two lanes of southbound I-35E between State Highway 121 Business and FM 3040/Round Grove Road will be continuously closed from 9 p.m. Friday, June 24, until 9 a.m. Saturday, June 25.

Ramps

The following ramps will be continuously closed from 9 p.m. Thursday, June 23, until 9 a.m. Saturday, June 25:

  • The southbound entrance ramp from SH 121 Business.  While the ramp is closed, traffic will continue south on the frontage road to the entrance ramp from Corporate Drive.
  • The southbound exit ramp to Corporate Drive.  While the ramp is closed, traffic will take the exit ramp to SH 121 Business and continue south to Corporate Drive.

The following ramps will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. Friday, June 24, through 9 a.m. Saturday, June 25:

  • The southbound exit ramp to SH 121 Business.  While the ramp is closed, traffic will take the exit ramp to Fox Avenue and continue along the frontage road to SH 121 Business.
  • The southbound exit ramp to FM 3040/Round Grove Road. While the ramp is closed, traffic will take the exit ramp to Fox Avenue and continue along the frontage road to FM 3040/Round Grove Road.
  • The southbound entrance ramp from Corporate Drive. While the ramp is closed, traffic will continue south on the frontage road to the next entrance ramp.
  •  The southbound entrance ramp from FM 3040/Round Grove Road. While the ramp is closed, traffic will continue south on the frontage road to the next entrance ramp.

This work is related to the 35Express project, an expansion of I-35E between U.S. Highway 380 in Denton County and I-635 in Dallas County. All closures are subject to weather conditions and may be postponed, if necessary.
