Unsettled weather– including heavy rain, hail, high winds and perhaps a tornado– will be a threat across southern Denton County starting Monday into midweek.
Many areas could pick up between 2 and 4 inches of rain with heavier amounts possible. The heaviest rainfall is expected on Tuesday and Tuesday night. The highest threat for flash flooding will be along and east of I-35, forecasters said.
There is a threat for severe storms with hail and damaging winds in the western half of North Texas along and east of a dryline Monday afternoon and evening.
The severe threat will be more widespread on Tuesday. There will be a threat for a few tornadoes on Tuesday across all of the region.
