Foodie Friday: Lunch and a show at Asahi

Everyone knows I love a fun lunch, and we experienced the ultimate fun lunch this week when we visited Asahi Teppenyaki & Sushi in Flower Mound for some Japanese cuisine.

Get ready for a meal full of entertainment and fresh ingredients when you visit Asahi. And the environment makes for a perfect spot to enjoy a meal with friends, co-workers or families. We saw several people celebrating birthdays, etc. while we were there, so take our word for it when we say this place is a great one to experience a unique meal for all kinds of occasions!

While we were there, we learned a little bit of the history behind the restaurant. The Lee family opened Asahi in 2006, wanting to create a place where our local community could enjoy an exquisite Japanese dining experience. And whether you came to enjoy a meal sitting around the hibachi table, or to try out some of their sushi and cocktails, they hoped that customers would keep coming back because of the inviting atmosphere and the quality ingredients they use.

And people have certainly kept coming back! We were amazed at how busy it was at lunch, and if you’ve ever driven by at night, you’re sure to have noticed how busy the parking lot is. And it’s all because of the unique dining experience Asahi offers its customers, which we couldn’t have been happier with!

So, let’s get to the details of that incredible meal shall we?

We started with some edamame and a couple of Asahi’s most popular dishes – the Asahi Tower and the Salmon Bomb. Both of the dishes were absolutely visually stunning, and tasted delicious too!

And then we went for the full Asahi experience as we sat around the Hibachi table and enjoyed an incredible meal together – while watching our chef, Milo, work some serious magic on the grill. Check out some photos and a video of our experience below!

I’m so excited to come back and visit this place with my wife, clients, friends… you name it! If you’re looking for a meal that’s a little out of the ordinary, definitely give Asahi a try. You’ll find yourself sitting around and laughing, all while enjoying an incredible meal.

We hope you’re able to find your way there soon, Foodies. And we also hope you have a fantastic weekend enjoying the sunshine! Hello, Spring weather!
