Julie Marie Glenn was born on October 19th, 1971 in Denver, Colorado.  She grew up in the Denver area and later moved to Lubbock, Texas while in High School.  In 1990, Julie moved to the Dallas area and attended Dallas Baptist University and became involved in the roofing industry.  She continued in the roofing industry until her death on September 28th, 2015.

Julie met her husband Jeff through mutual friends in 2002, and they were married in November 2003 in Saint Thomas, Virgin Islands.  Julie & Jeff moved to the Glenwick neighborhood in Flower Mound in 2007 and were blessed with a son, Jace, on January 9th, 2010.  Jace and Jeff loved Julie dearly until her death.

In February of 2013, Julie was diagnosed with Breast Cancer.  After chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and five surgeries, Julie’s body never fully recovered.  Her strength and determination continued though as she volunteered for Susan G. Komen Dallas as a spokesperson and was twice among their top 20 fundraisers.  Julie was a frequent helper in the neighborhood, including arranging a Komen walk for the Glenwick neighborhood as well as welcome baskets and block parties.  Julie often times sat in front of the house and always had a smile on her face for anyone passing by.

Julie is survived by her husband Jeff and their son Jace of Flower Mound, mother Lynda Stephenson of Lubbock, brother Chris Hafer of Wolfforth, and grandmother Marie Allen of Winters as well has dozens of loving Glenn & Allen family members, neighbors, colleagues and friends.

A memorial service to celebrate Julie’s life will be held on Sunday, Oct. 4, at 1 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 6000 Morris Road, Flower Mound.
