5 things to know: August 7

It’s time to roll up the week! Here are five things to know today:

• Today through Sunday, the Friends of the Library are holding their used book sale at the Flower Mound Library. There’s a pre-sale from 5-7 p.m. tonight with $5 admission. The event carries on Saturday from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 – 5 p.m.

• The Highland Shores Back To School Social & Supply Drive is happening Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. Bring at least 1 school supply for admission to the mobile gaming truck. All donations go to Children’s Advocacy Center of Denton County. Visit www.highlandshores.net for a complete wish list.

• Also, auditions for “But Why Bump Off Barnaby?” are happening at 10 a.m. at Studio B Performing Arts Center in Highland Village. Ages 18 and up are needed. Bring a resume and a head shot.

• Need an Argyle Student Section tee? They’re $20 and money goes to pay for horns, confetti and etc.

• Today’s high is going to be 103 degrees with a heat index of 109. Don’t forget a bottle of water if you’re out in the heat.
