FM emergency center celebrates 5-year anniversary

Medical Center of Lewisville’s Flower Mound Emergency Center is celebrating its five-year anniversary with a holiday toy drive.

The emergency center, which opened in November 2009, was a new concept offering 24/7 emergency care 365 days a year with board-certified physicians accepting ambulance traffic, walk-in patients and all insurance, including Medicare and Medicaid, according to a news release.

The center, located at 4351 Long Prairie Road in Flower Mound, will be a collection site for “Operation Blue Santa” in conjunction with the Highland Village police and fire departments.

The project benefits children throughout the Lewisville ISD area as well as the local Salvation Army.

Residents can drop off new, unwrapped toys at the center through Friday, Dec. 19.

“To celebrate our milestone anniversary, Flower Mound Emergency Center wants to give back to the community that has given us so much,” said Ashley McClellan, chief executive officer, in a news release.

“We will participate in five community projects throughout the year in honor of our five-year anniversary.”
