Greetings from Bartonville. With Veteran’s Day fast approaching, we want to thank all those who served our county in war and peace. The sacrifices of time away from family, risks, and in some cases the ultimate sacrifice are not forgotten by a grateful nation.
Bartonville was recently honored with the Texas Municipal League’s 2014 Excellence Award for our new communications program.
Communications has been a major focus for the town the last couple of years. Stacey and Tammy, our incredible town staff, have done a fantastic job redesigning the town website, sending the town update emails and sending quarterly updates via U.S. Mail. Our police department also held an outstanding National Night Out at town hall on October 7. The event was a great success with activities for the kids, cook out, and most importantly a chance for the town’s citizens to meet.
We held our first “Meet the Mayor.” I want to thank the residents that attended and extend a future invitation to those who weren’t able to attend. It was a great opportunity to discuss the issues and concerns facing the town and I look forward to our future discussions.
