Foodie Friday: Holiday catering from Seven Loaves Catering & Events

You know sometimes we like to switch things up on you guys for Foodie Friday – and today is one of those weeks! Instead of our typical local restaurant, we’re excited to tell you about our own personal experience we had with Seven Loaves Catering & Events out of Highland Village this week!

We hosted a Realtor Preview of one of our listings earlier this week (3325 Northwood Dr. in Highland Village… just in case you want to check it out) and asked Seven Loaves to cater our brunch for us! And they did an incredible job all the way from planning to delivery.

Seven Loaves is owned and operated by native Texans, Phillip and Leslie Smithwick, who started catering in 2001 as a part-time business. Phillip has experience as an Executive Chef at a country club, catering company and a startup restaurant concept as well as experience as a private chef and house manager for clients in Highland Park. After 10 years of running their part-time business and still working full-time, Phillip left his work as a private chef to run the catering business full time.

Phillip and Leslie changed the name of their business to Seven Loaves to describe their desire to “feed the multitudes” and have been providing great food for all kinds of events ever since!

Leslie really helped us decide the best food options for our budget and was very helpful in our consultation before the event. I love that they can easily take your vision and your budget and find a way to make them work together.

And they delivered us with a great brunch for our realtor guests that included egg, potato and cheese breakfast burritos and an assortment of breakfast pastries. We got so many compliments on how great the food was and had several people ask us who we had cater the event.

With the holidays quickly approaching, we thought it would be a great idea to share our experience with all of you Foodies so that you can reach out to Seven Loaves about catering your large party or intimate dinner.

They have an excellent variety on their menu, including Apricot and Bourbon Glazed Chicken, Herb Crusted Beef Tenderloin, Taco Bar, Texas Smoked BBQ, Rosemary Pork Chops and Seafood Etouffee. And all of their entrees come with delicious sides like Whipped Potatoes, Zucchini Casserole, Burgundy Mushrooms and Island Fried Rice.

And the holidays wouldn’t be complete without sumptuous desserts like Pecan Pie, Banana Pudding, Cheesecake, Creme Brulee and Tiramisu! YUM!!!

Seven Loaves also offers a full range of other services including delivery and setup, bartenders, service staff, rentals, music/entertainment and more.

So, I would highly recommend you give Seven Loaves a call today to work out your custom menu for your holiday event/dinner! Whether you’re looking for passed hors d’oeuvres, a buffet or a plated, sit-down dinner, Phillip and Leslie will create a wonderful menu that will work for your vision and your budget!
And when you give them a call, be sure to let them know that you heard about their incredible services from Jay Marks!

Hope you all have a FULL weekend, Foodies!
