PointBank lines up for literacy

PointBank is lining up its 24th Annual Charity Golf Tournament benefiting the Flower Mound public library and other Denton County libraries for Tuesday at Lantana Golf Club.

For more than 24 years, PointBank has selected the Denton County library system as its major philanthropic focus with the idea of raising funds to maintain and grow library resources and services, and impact library-based literacy programs.

Raymond David, the bank’s CEO states, “We believe strongly that libraries serve a critical role in fostering a prosperous, successful and healthy future for the local communities,” said Raymond David, CEO of PointBank in a news release.

Donations have helped build library expansions, improve existing facilities, update technology, add books and job search tools for unemployed residents, expand reading programs for children and assist with child education and development, among other areas.
