Flower Mound police are asking residents to keep an eye out for anyone riding a bicycle in the early morning hours before daybreak after a recent vehicle burglary spree in Tour 18 neighborhoods.

Residents can call the Flower Mound Police Department directly at 972-539-0525 or anonymously at 972-874-3307.

Earlier today, police found a bicycle abandoned on the Tour 18 golf course while assisting a golf tournament. Though not sure it is related, Capt. Richard Brooks said police were asking residents to be on the alert after 12 separate incidents of vehicle burglaries throughout Tour 18 were reported early Saturday morning.

Most of the cars appeared to have been rummaged through while some items were reported missing in others. Police do not have any suspects at this time.

Brooks suggests residents make sure to lock their cars, remove valuable items if possible or, if not, hide the valuable items.

“If someone sees anyone out riding a bicycle around [before daylight], give us a call,” he said.
