CASA welcomes new development director

Jessica Ferricher is the new development director at CASA of Denton County, an organization that provides trained community volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children in court proceedings.

Ferricher, recently from the St. Joseph Institute for the Deaf in St. Louis, brings three years of nonprofit development, communication and almost five years in event planning to her new position.

At St. Joseph, Ferricher developed a social media platform and partnered with the development director to generate $2 million in revenue, according to a news release.

Her goal with CASA is to build on the organization’s growth and follow the board’s vision to serve every child in need of services.

“I focus on securing the funds and resources that allow specialized professionals and volunteers to focus their energy on these life changing services that continue to deliver transformative results to the youngest members of our community,” she stated in the release.

Originally from the Dallas-Fort Worth region, Ferricher and her family returned to the area after her husband’s service in the U.S. Army.

According to Ferricher, Denton County is a tight-knit community where neighbors support neighbors and volunteers are dedicated to serving those in need.

“I am honored to do my part in strengthening this remarkable community,” she said in the release.
