Denton County Sheriff's Office part of task force

The Denton County Sheriff’s Office is participating with Homeland Security Investigations and other law enforcement agencies from Collin, Denton and Hunt counties in a Joint Intelligence and Operational Interagency Task Force, according to a news release.

The Joint Intelligence and Operational Interagency Task Force members will work with each other to investigate crimes that impact local communities.

The goal of the task force will be to investigate criminal activity in the North Texas area by gathering and analyzing intelligence from various law enforcement entities and use the unique proficiencies of the partner agencies to conduct federal, state and local investigations.

This task force will also use resources of the North Central Texas Fusion Center to dismantle and disrupt known and unknown criminal elements operating in the North Central Texas area.
