06-03-2014 9:40 a.m. – Theft – 100 blk. High Oaks Dr., Double Oak. – A leaf blower and a gas tank were taken without permission from a storage shed.
06-04-2014 9:58 a.m. – Prowler – 300 blk. Brown Cliff Ct., Double Oak. – Report from a homeowner of an adult male looking through a house window. Upon further investigation it was determined to be a family member.
06-04-2014 4:16 p.m. – Civil Dispute – 300 blk. Waketon Rd., Double Oak. – Complainant filed a walk in report regarding missing property post-divorce.
06-06-2014 12:58 a.m. – Audible Alarm – 8100 blk. Justin Rd., Double Oak – Officer heard a business alarm sounding while on patrol. Further investigation revealed the building was secure but the alarm company was testing due to maintenance issues.

06-06-2014 4:20 p.m. – Animal Complaint – 300 blk. Meadowknoll Dr., Double Oak – A resident reported a missing goat. Later the goat was found to have been transported to the vets after having been attacked by neighborhood dogs.
06-07-2014 10:15 p.m. – Solicitor Complaint – 100 blk. Oakview Dr., Double Oak – A resident reported a person vending without a permit. Officer was unable to locate the subject.
06-08-2014 12:22 a.m. – Noise Complaint – 200 blk. Lake Trail Ct., Double Oak – A report of loud music. Officer made contact and the noise was reduced.
06-08-2014 8:44 a.m. – Hit and Run (Failure To Leave Identification) – FM407, Argyle – DOPD assisted in the search for a hit and run suspect.
06-08-2014 4:17 p.m. – Traffic Blockage – 200 blk. Valley View Tr., Double Oak – A witness reported a rental moving truck blocking both lanes of traffic. Upon arrival officer determined that the moving truck was blocking the roadway and had in fact broken it’s steering arm. A wrecker was already enroute per the vehicle owner.
06-08-2014 7:25 p.m. – Disturbance – 1400 blk. Landfall, Bartonville – Assisted Bartonville Police with a verbal disturbance.
06-09-2014 6:39 p.m. – Solicitor Complaint – 300 blk. East Carruth Ln., Double Oak – Report of a vendor in Carruth Estates going door to door without a permit. Subject left the scene prior to officer arrival.
06-09-2014 11:13 p.m. – Suspicious Circumstances – 8100 blk. Justin Rd., Double Oak – Multiple participants behind the church playing volleyball by vehicle headlights. Officer spoke with the involved parties and explained that they couldn’t be parking on the grass due to possible damage. Subjects agreed to move their vehicles.

06-10-2014 5:38 p.m. – Suspicious Person – 500 blk. Simmons Rd., Double Oak – A resident reported being confronted by a person who got out of their car, confronted the caller, and then left before police arrival.
06-10-2014 5:49 p.m. – Suspicious Vehicle – 200 blk. Cross Timbers Dr., Double Oak – A resident reported an off-roading vehicle traveling on a public street. Motorist was gone prior to police arrival.
06-10-2014 11:06 p.m. – Suspicious Activity – 8100 blk. Justin Rd., Double Oak – While on patrol officer noticed four juveniles in the back parking lot of a church. Upon further investigation it turned out they were on a scavenger hunt. Officer remained on scene until they were finished and departed the area.
06-11-2014 1:39 p.m. – Hit and Run – 100 blk. Maple Leaf, Double Oak – A motorist reported that a passing vehicle had collided with their car and then left without leaving identification.
06-11-2014 3:36 p.m. – Assist Motorist – 2100 blk. Justin Rd., Highland Village – Officer assisted a stranded motorist with getting out of the roadway after having run out of fuel.
06-14-2014 9:43 a.m. – Probation Violation – 8200 blk. Justin Rd., Double Oak – During the conduct of a traffic stop a subject check revealed the violator to be wanted for a probation violation. Subject was taken into custody and transported to the Denton County Jail.
06-15-2014 1:25 a.m. – Medical Call – 100 blk. Lake Trail Dr., Double Oak – Assisted DOVFD with a person who had fallen.
06-15-2014 12:46 a.m. – Welfare Check – 1100 blk. Mission Ln., Lantana – DOPD assisted Denton County Sheriff’s Deputies with a welfare check.
06-17-2014 10:27 a.m. – Animal Complaint – 400 blk. Simmons Rd., Double Oak – Two dogs were running loose. Officer recognized the dogs from an earlier call. Contact was made with the owner and a citation was issued.
06-18-2014 1:49 p.m. – Solicitor Complaint – Reports of an unknown solicitor going door to door trying to sell mulch. Subject departed prior to officer arrival.
06-20-2014 9:03 a.m. – Animal Complaint – 100 blk. N. Woodland Trail, Double Oak – Request for a live trap.
06-21-2014 3:07 a.m. – Animal Complaint – 1100 blk. Noble, Lantana – Deputies were unavailable. DOPD responded to a barking dog call. Dog was located but homeowner but officer was unable to make contact with the homeowner.
06-21-2014 11:22 p.m. – Disturbance – Ben Boyd Rd., Argyle – Assisted Argyle PD with the investigation of a party.
06-22-2014 12:16 a.m. – Suspicious Person – 1000 blk. Frenchtown Rd., Argyle – Reports of an unknown person on another person’s property. Subject was gone upon officer arrival.
06-22-2014 10:58 a.m. – Welfare Check – 100 blk. Chinn Chapel, Double Oak – Reports of a disoriented motorist. Subject was determined to have medical problems and was picked up by family members.
06-22-2014 9:12 p.m. – Civil Dispute – 400 blk. Simmons, Double Oak – A resident was involved in a dispute regarding who could be living in their home.
06-22-2014 12:16 a.m. – Suspicious Person – 1000 blk. Frenchtown Rd., Argyle. – Double Oak Officer dispatched to assist Argyle with reports of a suspicious person on a neighbor’s property. Suspect was not found.
06-22-2014 10:49 a.m. – Abandoned Vehicle – 100 blk. Kings Rd., Double Oak – While on patrol officer located an abandoned vehicle. Owner was contacted and vehicle was removed.
06-22-2014 10:58 a.m. – Welfare Check – 100 blk. Chinn Chapel, Double Oak – A deputy directing traffic reported a disoriented motorist to Double Oak PD. A further investigation revealed the motorist was having a medical problem and a relative was notified to pick up their family member.
06-22-2014 9:12 p.m. – Disturbance – 400 blk. Simmons Rd., Double Oak – Family members were involved in a dispute that was verbal in nature.
06-25-2014 8:20 a.m. – Alarm – 100 blk. Creekside Dr., Double Oak
06-26-2014 2:40 p.m. – 911 hang-up – 600 blk. Simmons Rd., Double Oak – Officer responded to a 911 call and upon arrival located a construction worker who had accidentally dialed the emergency number.
06-26-2014 6:57 p.m. – Suspicious Vehicles – 300 blk. Highland Ct., Double Oak – A resident reported unknown vehicles at a neighbor’s home. Upon further investigation all vehicles were associated with the neighbors.
06-27-2014 7:35 p.m. – Disorderly Conduct – 200 blk. Whispering Oaks Dr., Double Oak – Witness reported a silver Hond
a Van driven by a female parking in the neighbor’s drive and letting a male exit to urinate in the neighbor’s front yard. I’m sure his mom was proud when he later recounted the story.
06-28-2014 12:03 a.m. – Disturbance – 7500 blk. Ranch Rd., Flower Mound – Dispatched with Bartonville PD to a large group of vehicles blocking the roadway. Upon arrival multiple young people fled officers on foot. Flower Mound PD dispersed the crowd and located alcohol on scene. Officers remained on scene until the crowd dispersed.
06-28-2014 1:30 a.m. – Suspicious Circumstances – 300 blk. Highland Ct., Double Oak – Officers observed a truck parked on a public roadway and occupied by two persons one of which appeared to be ducking in an effort to hide from law enforcement. Upon contact officers noted that the female passenger appeared nervous and her hands were shaking. Several attempts were made to identify her without success. It was later determined that the young lady was untruthful about her name and date of birth and that she had also lied to her mother. The juvenile was detained and released to her parent at the police station.
06-28-2014 12:52 p.m. – Fraud – 100 blk. South Woodland Trail, Double Oak – A resident reported having been contacted by an unknown person claiming to be with the Sheriff’s Department and asking to speak with his wife. Over the years there have been numerous frauds conducted using the ruse of claiming that the person being called was wanted and that they owed bond money. Please, please contact your local law enforcement agency if you receive such a suspicious phone call.
06-29-2014 2:31 a.m. – Racing / Speeding – 1100 blk. Lantana Trl., Lantana – DOPD responded to a call of two vehicles traveling at a high rate of speed through Lantana. Officers were unable to locate.
06-29-2014 5:05 a.m. – Intoxicated Person / Criminal Mischief – 2600 blk. E. F.M. 407, Bartonville – DOPD and Denton County responded to reports of an intoxicated man at the 7-11 acting strange and scaring the employees. Subject talked about anarchy and religion and was twitching badly. Subject broke the plate glass window at a neighboring hair salon with a champagne bottle stolen from 7-11. Subject fled on foot prior to officer arrival. Offense investigation was turned over to Bartonville PD upon their arrival.
07-02-2014 3:16 a.m. – Suspicious Activity – 3800 blk. Berry Hill Ct., Double Oak – A witness observed a dark color vehicle parked in the driveway of his neighbor’s home. Vehicle left before officer arrival
07-02-2014 3:50 p.m. – Fraud – 300 blk. Waketon Rd., Double Oak – A resident reported having been a victim of internet fraud after posting items for sale on a website.
07-03-2014 10:25 p.m. – Disturbance – 200 blk. Canyon Oaks Dr., Copper Canyon – DOPD remained on scene while Sheriff’s Department conducted an investigation.
07-04-2014 8:46 p.m. – Suspicious Circumstances – 100 blk. Park Ln., Double Oak – A resident noticed odd marks on their windows and was concerned someone had been identifying the home for a later break-in. Upon further investigation it appeared the marks were made from the inside of the residence by an unknown person brushing up against the glass and leaving smudges.
07-04-2014 10:27p.m. – Ordinance Violation – 4800 blk. Shiloh Rd., Double Oak – Report of fireworks being discharged.
07-05-2014 2:16 a.m. – Accident – 200 blk. Kings Rd., Double Oak – A young motorist drove over a mailbox damaging their vehicle. The 19 year old male was taken into custody for Driving While Intoxicated and possession of alcohol.
07-05-2014 7:45 p.m. – Alarm – 100 blk. Forest Park, Double Oak – Residential alarm accidentally triggered by homeowner’s son.
07-08-2014 2:48 p.m. – Criminal Mischief – 100 blk. Royal Oaks Dr., Double Oak – A witness reported that a vacant home had been damaged by an unknown person(s).
07-08-2014 9:35 p.m. – Suspicious Circumstances – 8100 blk. Justin Rd., Double Oak – Officer observed a red Ford truck parked behind the church with its lights off. Upon further investigation it was determined to be occupied by two teenagers who decided to leave the parking lot.
07-10-2014 3:00 p.m. – Suspicious Circumstances – 100 blk. Shady Oaks Ln., Double Oak – A homeowner requested that the status of their home be checked while they were out of town. Officers found an unwelcome adult child on scene who left upon officer request.
07-20-2014 10:33 p.m. – Suspicious Circumstances – 9600 blk. Carson Dr., Denton County – DOPD responded with Bartonville PD to suspected construction site theft. Upon arrival multiple males were found loading trash into a trailer. Contact was made with the home builder verifying the crew was supposed to be working at the build site.
