Flower Mound police are investigating a shooting that occurred Sunday night on the south side of town in the area of 100 Long Prairie near Griffis Corner.
The Grapevine Police Department notified Flower Mound Police around 6 p.m. Sunday that the victim of a shooting was being treated in Grapevine and provided a description of the suspect.
Flower Mound and Grapevine officers responded to the area and began an investigation.
Officers located a person matching the suspect’s description at 124 Griffis Road in Flower Mound. Further investigation led to the arrest of Thomas Craig Sell, 57, of Flower Mound for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
The victim was transported to Parkland Hospital and is currently in the Intensive Care Unit in fair condition. The victim’s name was not released.
Police said the case is under active investigation and no further details will be released until the investigation is concluded.
