Flower Mound baseball to play for state title

Flower Mound’s baseball team cruised to an 8-1 victory over Pearland on Friday afternoon to punch their ticket to the 5A State Championship game.

Pearland went through six pitchers, walking 12 Flower Mound batters.

Sean Wymer, Connor Wanhanen and Noah Hill combined for seven hits in the game for the Jaguars.

Noah Hill, Skyler Cox, Mitch Andrews, Deron Arnold, Ryan Sloma, Sean Wymer and Tim Millard had RBI’s in the game. Box Score/Recap

Flower Mound (32-12-1) will try for the school’s first state baseball title, facing San Antonio Reagan (34-6) in the 5A State Championship game at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Dell Diamond in Round Rock. The game will be broadcast live on Fox Sports Southwest.
