Flower Mound 15, Mansfield 3
The Jaguars made it a clean sweep against Mansfield on Friday night, defeating the Tigers 15-3 to advance to the Class 5A Region I regional semifinals.
B.J. Myers earned the victory for the Jags and Sean Wymer tripled in the game for Flower Mound.
Flower Mound will play the winner of the Southlake Carroll/San Angelo Central series at a time and date to be determined.
Marcus 2, Hebron 1
The Marauders defeated Hebron on Friday night to advance to the Class 5A Region I regional semifinals, winning 2-1 against Hebron in Flower Mound.
Conner Dotson earned the victory for Marcus, throwing a five hitter to beat the Hawks.
Josh Ringsdorf doubled in the game for the Marauders to lead the way offensively.
Marcus will face Midland at Concordia University in Austin this Friday at 7:30 p.m. Game 2 is Saturday at noon and Game 3 will follow, if needed.
Sanger 10, Argyle 8
The 4th ranked Eagles lost a heartbreaker to rival Sanger Friday night in Game 1 of the Class 3A Region II quarterfinal best-of-3 series.
Argyle had a 8-3 lead in the 5th inning but Parker Mushinski’s pitching cooled off and Sanger’s bats heated up to put seven runs on the board in the 5th and 6th innings.
Game 2 is Saturday at noon at Ponder High School. Game 3 will follow if necessary.
