The Marauders started off strong in Game 1 of the Class 5A Region I quarterfinals Thursday night with a win over Hebron at Hebron.
Michael Wheeler and Matt Bernstein had 3 RBI’s each.
Jack Cushing went the distance on the mound with five strikeouts for the win.
Game 2 of the best of three series is tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Marcus High School.
Flower Mound 10, Mansfield 0
The Jaguars blanked Mansfield on Thursday night with a blitz of offense in Game 1 of the Class 5A Region I quarterfinals in Grand Prairie.
Sean Wymer had two hits and three RBI’s. Tim Millard had two hits and Deron Arnold had a hit in the game.
Kyle Johnston pitched seven strikeouts for the Jaguars.
Flower Mound will play Game 2 at 7:30 p.m. tonight in Grand Prairie.
