The Marauders advanced to the third round of the playoffs after a 6-3 victory in their area round game on Friday night.
Conner Dotson earned the victory for Marcus.
Josh Ringsdorf and Jared Bogosian both hit doubles for Marcus in the game, and Saxon Lumpp hit a triple.
Marcus will play the winner of the Hebron/Midlothian game at a time and date to be determined.
Argyle 10, Princeton 0
The Argyle Eagles shut out Princeton on Friday night to win a one-game playoff.
Drew Gooch had 11 strikeouts, while Quinton Rockwell struck out the last two hitters to close the game.
Cutter McDonald went 3/4 with a double. Tanner Boyzuick and Matt Ralph had 3 RBI’s each.
The Eagles advance to the 3A Region II quarterfinals and will play the winner of the Sanger-Bonham game at a time and date to be determined.
Flower Mound 6, South Grand Prairie 0
Led by a stellar performance by Kyle Johnston, the Jaguars shut out South Grand Prairie on Friday night in Game 1 of the area round playoff series.
Johnston pitched 16 strikeouts in the no hitter.
Games 2 and 3 are today at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. (if needed) at at QuikTrip Park in Grand Prairie.
Guyer 0, Cleburne 2
The season came to an end for the Guyer baseball team on Thursday night, as the Wildcats lost to Cleburne by a score of 2-0 in the area round of the playoffs.
The Wildcats defeated Saginaw in the first round of the playoffs.
Guyer finished the regular season with a 10-4 mark in district competition and a 19-12 overall record.
