Bartonville Police Report

Bartonville Police Officers responded to 39 calls for service and issued 44 citations and 33 warning citations during the month of March. Officers investigated 6 vehicle crashes in Bartonville.

Domestic or Family Dispute – Officers responded to 5 domestic or family dispute calls.

False Alarm – Officers responded to 1 burglar alarm call.

Assist Agency Calls – Officers responded to 7 assist other agency calls, assisting Double Oak PD five times and Argyle PD two times.

Below is a small sampling of calls for service:

Identity Theft – A citizen came to the PD to report an identity theft that involved his Federal Tax Return. An unknown person filed a tax return using the citizen’s social security number. A report was filed. The   case will be investigated by the Internal Revenue Service.

Vehicle Crash – An officer investigated a serious vehicle crash with injuries in the 800 Block of Gibbons Rd. The driver lost control of their vehicle and crashed into a tree. The injured person was transported to a local hospital by ambulance. The investigation showed that the deployment of the vehicles airbags prevented more serious injuries.

Unconscious Person – A Cross Timbers Water Supply Corp. employee reported an unconscious person lying on the ground near I.T. Neely Rd. The caller reported that the person woke up and left in a vehicle before police arrived.

Suicidal Person – An officer responded to a suicidal person call. An investigation revealed there was no intent by the person to harm themselves.

Animal Complaint – Sick skunk – A citizen reported a sick skunk in the 1600 block of E. Jeter Rd.  An officer responded and located the skunk.  Animal Control Brian Hall advised the skunk was very likely to be infected with rabies. The skunk was euthanized by the officer.   The remains were removed by ACO Brian Hall. Please report sick or drunk acting skunks to the PD or Animal Control Brian Hall, 817-401-1861. Skunks are common carriers of Rabies.

Animal Complaint – Sick cat – A citizen called looking for some help with his sick cat. The citizen was referred to Animal Control Brian Hall.

Animal Complaint – Sick cow – An officer received several calls in reference to a sick cow in a pasture on Rockgate Rd.  The officer made several phone calls and was able to locate the property owner. The owner was aware of the problem and had consulted with their Veterinarian.

Family Dispute/Criminal Mischief – A dispute between family members turned into a criminal mischief when several windows were broken. The family member who broke the windows lives in another part of the state.  An arrest warrant has been issued for the person who broke the windows.

Domestic Dispute – An officer was dispatched to a domestic dispute. During the investigation it was determined no assault had occurred.  The caller will seek advice from their marriage counselor.

Child Custody Dispute – A person came to the PD to report problems with child custody among some family members. The person was referred to contact an attorney for advice in changing legal custody of a child.

Cardiac Arrest – An officer responded to assist a citizen who was performing CPR on a family member. The officer was close by and arrived within two minutes. The officer assisted with CPR until Paramedics arrived. The patient was transported to a nearby hospital.

Loud Party – An anonymous caller reported a loud party at a residence. When the officer arrived the party was breaking up. The officer noted no violations.

Agency Assist – An officer assisted a Double Oak officer with a vehicle crash on FM 407 east of Lantana Tr. The officer remained until the roadway was cleared.
