The Small Business Development Center at North Central Texas College will offer a series of business tax workshops on the Flower Mound campus starting Jan. 30.
The workshops will meet on eight Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m., in Room 102 at the NCTC Flower Mound campus located at 1200 Parker Square.
Participants may attend one or all of the sessions. There is no fee for the workshops, but reservations are requested.
The presenter will be Ini Adesanya, a consultant with Moneywiz Financial Services.
The series gives business owners a better understanding of tax law and will enable participants to evaluate the tax implication when making business decisions, resulting in leads to money savings.
Among the topics to be discussed are business structures, business deductions, assets: cars and other office equipment, home offices, employee versus independent contractor, payroll taxes, business expansion and gifts to employees.
Dates for the workshops are Jan. 30, Feb. 11, Feb. 25, March 6, March 27, April 8, April 22 and May 6. Future dates and topics will be announced.
